Swedish Steamboats

In Sweden there are lots of small steamboats with compound steam engine or singel cylinder steam engine.

Most of the steam launch owners are members of the Swedish Steamboat Association.
The Swedish Steamboat Association was formed in 1986 and has as its purpose to promote the steamboat interest and contribute to socializing and meetings to spread the steamship ownership and its enjoyment by:

• Maintain a current steam launch register
• Provide assistance with technical information
• Gather the association's members and boats to meet
• Work to kept the steam materielen in operational condition
• To assist in materiel replacement
