Four single-ended scotch fire tube boiler with three furnaces each. One of the four boilers is open for inspection. The lids for the smoke chests are removed. Notice the three steam driven rotary cup burners.

 

The two steam engines have different valve-gears.

The function is almost the same as the Klug valve-gear.

The prow engine has a Klug's valve-gear.
It is slightly modified; the characteristic curved rod to the slide valve rod is replaced by a straight one.
