Steamship Mariefred departing Mariefred
The Steamship Mariefred has sailed the same route, Stockholm - Mariefred, since the very beginning. Very little has been changed on board and she still uses her original steam engine.

Fire-tube boiler
The Steamship is firing up the boiler for a voyage. Both furnaces are firing and the scotch fire tube boiler's steam pressure rises slowly.

Compound steam engine
The Steamship Mariefred compound steam engines manoeuvring place.

Flodman's valve gear
The steamship high-pressure piston's crosshead and the Flodman's valve-gear.
The Flodman's valve-gear was, and still is, fairly common in swedish steamships.
